Service Disruption 17th-24th July 2025

Please accept our sincere apologies for the disruption to our services which is due to the mandatory installation of a new clinical system (Optum) at Cardigan Health Centre. The new system replaces Vision which is used to access patient records, blood and imaging results, recording consultations and generating repeat and acute prescriptions.

During the switch over process we will have very limited or no access to the clinical systems meaning that we will not be able to generate repeat prescriptions, answer queries about results, make referrals or follow up long term conditions. Clinicians will still be available for urgent or emergency care needs with face to face and telephone appointments daily. You can access the surgery in the usual way by calling 01239 612021 between 08:00am and 6:30pm weekdays.

Please bear with us as staff need to learn to use the new software. There will inevitably be ‘teething problems’ which we will work hard to resolve as soon as possible. Our online services via the NHS app will also not be available until our transition to the new system is complete. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make this transition to the new clinical system.
